Possilpark & Ruchill Loves Christmas is a brilliant event involving lots of community partners across Possilpark & Ruchill and North Glasgow.
Santa and his elves will be making their way around the area. Check out the planned route below, and over the weekend you’ll be able to see where he is on our live map.
Here’s the timetable of the weekend:
Saturday 2nd December:
Santa’s Saunter through Ruchill, Hamiltonhill & Westercommon: 10:30am-3pm (approximately)
Sunday 3rd December:
Santa’s Saunter through Hawthorn & Possilpark: 12noon-2.30pm (approximately)
Santa’s Parade from Millennium Square to Possilpark Parish Church: 2.30pm
Christmas Activity Centre at Possilpark Parish Church: 3pm-6pm
There will be arts & crafts, food & drinks, circus performers, inflatables and face painting! And of course, Santa’s grotto.

We will do our best to get Santa to every stop on the route, but we may need to take some detours depending on weather and road conditions. Stay up to date with Santa’s location over the weekend using the live Santa tracker!
Saturday 2nd December: Ruchill
Remember these are rough timings only!
Starting at 10:30am from Shuna Street, Santa will make his way to Curzon Street and Brassey Street, then head along Bilsland Drive. Along the way, we will stop at North United Communities (11am-11:30am).
Santa will have a quick break before heading into Hamiltonhill…
Saturday 2nd December:
Westercommon & Hamiltonhill
Remember these are rough timings only!
After a quick break for milk and mince pies, Santa will head to The Back Garden for around 1pm. Then we’re off to the Hamiltonhill Claypits and the The Courtyard at around 2pm.
Santa will finish up at Panmure Street for a well deserved rest before coming back on Sunday…
Sunday 3rd December:
Possilpark & Hawthorn
Remember these are rough timings only!
Santa’s Saunter will start with a visit to Hawthorn Care Home at around 12:15pm, and then we’ll go to the houses behind Lidl (Hayston Street etc - around 1pm).
From there we’ll be go back along Closeburn Street to Hawthorn Housing (around 1:30pm), before making our way up Rednock St and Killearn Street for the lantern procession from Millenium Square to Possilpark Parish Church!
